Half-Pints Poetry is an elementary school spoken word poetry and performance workshop series designed for 4th and 5th grade students. The 8-week workshop is led by spoken word poet Words Taylor, as well as high school poets actively involved in Movement 515. The pilot program began at King Elementary in 2015, and expanded to 11 elementary schools in Des Moines Public Schools for the 2015-2016 school year.
