RunDSM’s Annual Teen Summit is a two-day event produced by students enrolled in the Urban Leadership program at Central Campus in Des Moines Public Schools. The goal of Teen Summit is to provide safe spaces for teens to discuss issues facing their communities, brainstorm possible solutions and become ambassadors for change. During the summit, over 200 youth from each of the five comprehensive high schools engage in town hall meetings, artistic workshops, documentary screenings, and a public performance.
