Huge shout-out to the 19 youth poets who shared their truth at the semi-finals of the 3rd Annual Des Moines Teen Poetry Slam last night. 14 poets advanced to the finals on April 23 at the Temple for Performing Arts. We continue to marvel in your talent, empathy, and willingness to challenge oppressive systems in our society. But most importantly, we are proud of the love you show one another. *snaps*
